Photo comments: photos 1, 4, 7-8, 11: bluffs in the vicinity of Seatown; photo5: Penny's fossil finds; photo6: the real deal: an adder, the only venomous snake in the UK, but very shy; photo 9-10: what I'd hoped to find: a belemnite and crinoid stem; photo12: (for Karl) fishing boats, uniquely shaped, short and wide: photo 13: evidence of Neolithic occupation is sprinkled throughout the Dorset region, evidenced by the earthen works on the hillside.
Tod,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful around Dorset, Seatown. Just from your picture I'm in love with Dorset of your pictures - so calm, green, beautiful countryside. The house and gardens look like something out of an old movie "serene".
Tod,
ReplyDeleteWhat causes the intense orange colored of the beach? Is there a lot of nature iron in the soil and rock?
